olives and mountains
| hey all, well not going to be a long post, shame cos so much to tell! At an internet cafe and limited time, but just to assure you all is great, had the best time in Umbria picking olives. The farm was up the top of a hill with stunning panoramic views, which I never got sick of perched up in my olive tree raking away.. the days were long and the work pretty monotonous, but there were 4 other Woofers to hang with and laugh with, all great guys, and it was a fantastic experience, will never look at olive oil the same again!! Then I had a day in Venice, magical and surreal.. good cos off season so not crowded but had a great Autumn day there on my way up to Trento in the north to stay with a British mate who lives here and teaches at the English school. Its up near the dolomites so skyscraper mountains surround us and again the days are cold and crisp but sunny and bright.. nice to relax and being well looked after. From here its south again I hope for some warmth before back to London, More later, hugs to you and enjoy the coming of summer y'all! claire |
